The UK airline will offer no-cost fast onboard internet via satellite agreement

Passengers flying with the airline will soon enjoy high-speed wifi in the air without charge after a major agreement with Elon Musk's space provider.

The airline revealed that the free, “fast and dependable” wifi service through the satellite provider is set to be offered for passengers flying coach, premium economy, and first class starting the coming month.

Widespread Implementation Over Various Carriers

The umbrella firm of the airline, the airline group, confirmed it had finalized an deal with Starlink to provide wifi coverage for 500-plus jets within their carriers, which also include the Irish airline, Iberia, and the low-cost airline.

Seamless Connectivity from Boarding through Landing

BA explained that the rollout for the system was part of a seven billion pound “upgrade” program and would provide smooth wifi access to travelers from boarding through arrival, including when in flight across oceans or far-off locations.
