The relatives of teenagers unaccounted for after a tragic blaze at a venue in a Swiss ski resort are confronting an excruciating wait for confirmed information and appealing for any details about their family members publicly.

The fire devastated the a popular bar in Cans-Montana, located in the mountains of south-west Switzerland, in the small hours of New Year's Day. Confirmed images show the ceiling being engulfed in flames as bottles with fireworks are raised in celebration.

Authorities have warned that it could take considerable time to identify the fatalities of the fire, which killed numerous partygoers and hurt another 119. Authorities stated on Friday that the majority of the those hurt have been identified, with work still underway to name the final individuals.

In the waiting period, families and friends have been taking to social media to plead for clues about their missing relatives who were in attendance that night.

Appeals for the Unaccounted For
