So the dust has settled after the inorgaral Norwich Craft Beer Week and we have had a few weeks to take stock and think about what went down.
Overall we couldn't be happier, a fantastic week of beer led events saw pubs packed with happy punters and people branching out from their 'usual' to try something new. For us that was what it is all about. We (as in us as organisers, the breweries and the venues) were taking a step into the unknown. As the craft beer culture starts to flourish in the city it was diffcult to guess what the reaction would be to 10 days of events but the pubs and bars did such an amazing job. The variety of events from food pairings to brewery tours really grabbed the public's interest.

The unique collaborations between pubs and breweries was another major plus point and one that we will build on in the future. For us collaboration is at the very core of the craft beer scene and there is a genuine family feel within the industry and you could feel these good vibes spread throughout the week.

The homebrew competition was awesome and we saw and tasted some amazing beers, it was hard to believe they were knocked up in people's kitchens. Thanks to the judges, it was a tough gig but they struggled on!

We also had four amazing sponsors - Adnams, Avani Solutions, 12th Man (charity sponsor) and our main sponsor All Day Brewing. Without their support we couldn't have pulled it off and we can't wait to work with them again soon.

So in short we will be back bigger and better next year. Plans have already started and if you fancy getting involved give us a shout we are always up for hearing new ideas. And in the mean time we will be hosting 'NCBW City Sessions' throughout the year so watch this space.

We think it's time for a beer, cheers guys.
